Weekend abroad with 6 month old - where?

I'd like to go abroad for a weekend in July for my birthday - maybe somewhere in Europe? But I want to take ds3 who will be nearly 6 months. Any ideas, opinions, no-no's?

Amsterdam was good - DD was 8mths when we took her - you can hire the bikes with baby seats and ride around - just as long as you avoid the a - hem "brown" cafes!!
Bruges is good too - similar yet smaller than Amsterdam

Ooooh - Madrid too - fab city and LO's are positively encouraged !
