My 2 1/2 year old is ill he was sick at teatime with a temperature. He hasn't been sick again todaybut he's not well. Should we go away to Menorca as planned early tomorrow? We have a 7 month old baby too . I'm not sure I'd be confident if she were ill whilst abroad.

If you can, it might be worth seeing a Dr, get him checked out

In what way isn't he well now ? He may simply feel drained and a bit dehydrated, so offer clear fluids in small sips. tbh it is so likely he'll be fine tomorrow but if you are still concerned (and bearing in mind you may need to claim on insurance if you cancel)see your gp. I was ill in Majorca last year and the treatment from the local dr, who had scheduled surgeries at our hotel twice a day, was very good. If you do go take some basic Uk medicines and the EHIC card.

Thanks, He's kept some rice down for over an hour now. He is just quiet and still (would be nice usually!). Can't get him to drink much water though.

Menorca has very good medical facilities, with high caliber doctors. If they don't speak english adequate English, then usually there is a senior nurse who can traslate.

We had the same dilema with our 5 mo. old and decided to go.. she bounced back next day. But if you are worried, do take her into GP before you go if at all possible.

hope it all works out allright!
