Italy - 27 April - 4 May (and other European suggestions)

We have a week's holiday from 27 April - 4 May. I will be 28 weeks pg and ds is 3. We plan to rent a villa and would want it to be warm enough for ds to play outside and go in pool with dh whilst I lounge in shade and read!

I really really want to go to Italy but am concerned it won't be warm enough for the type of holiday we want. Does anyone have experience of weather at this time (wondered if Sicily being further South might be warmer)?

If not any suggestions as to where would definitely be ok for the above (not long haul)- guess Crete or Cyprus perhaps (nice but no delicious pasta/pizza). Thanks

You'll be freezing in a pool in Italy. Even Sicily won't be warm enough. Are the Canaries too far?

I'd probably go for Cyprus or possibly Malta. Wherever you go make sure the pool is heated.

It's April. It's Europe and sunny but swimming?! Try canaries.
