recommendations for B and B/hotel ?between rouen and le mans

hi, we are renting a gite in the loire valley in august, and want to stop for the night somewhere between calais and the loire valley on the way. would really appreciate recommendations for somewhere to stay, not too expensive, but nice. thank you!

I found your post as I was looking for a place myself. I have booked a night in Rouen, the N28 motorway runs though it and so is not much of a diversion. We are staying in Alive Hotel de Quebec, had some good reviews, family run etc but the selling point for me was that it had adjoining rooms. We can put the kids to bed and not have to sit in the dark. We're staying there in early July so can report back.

You may have sorted something by now but may be useful for anyone else stumbling on this post.
