Flying Virgin to Australia

Has anyone flown this route with Virgin? I am soon going with 9 month old and hubby. I have done the trip to Australia many times but never with Virgin, or a baby!!! Any tips gratefully received as I am dreading the trip as baby has just learned to crawl and won't sit still for five minutes!!

have flown Virgin (without baby). It was fine. Flew with Cathay to Oz with 8 mth DS (he was not crawling). It was great, honest. Do not worry. By the time you have done one leg you will feel like a true pro!

don't pack everything plus the kitchen sink. Find out what they provide on board before hand. Have some books/toys/snacks handy. Oh and make sure DH has the aisle seat so he gets to do ALL the nappy changes Wink

I haven't been to Australia but I have flown with Virgin to Florida and they were brilliant. A really great Airline. Our dd2 was 16 months when we flew with them and although not as long a flight obviously the staff were lovely and friendly and didn't bother about the fact that she wanted to wander around the plane speaking to people.

they have vv small seat pitch

Singapore airlines - one of it not the largest seat pitch. Have flown BA, QANTAS, Lufthansa/Thai, JAL - not good although I was by myself BUT Singapore Airlines were fab - flew out to Aus and back when dd1 was about 8 months old and again when she was almost 2....

Have heard good things of Royal Brunei - Aus - Uk and Emirates.

Virgin has only just recently started flying to Aus.
