What is Goa like in October (half term)

I will have a 14 year old and possibly 17 year old with me (sons)

I'v been wanting to go for a while and only have a week of leave left once I've took my others and wanted somewhere warm (not roasting hot) and where I have been meaning to go.

Would anyone recommend it?

I have only ever been to Goa during the winter months. I am sure October in Goa would be lovely if you don't mind rain and not being able to swim.

Personally, I think Goa is overrated. Too many drunk tourists, package holiday makers, very poor infrastructure and lots of tensions between locals and the tourist industry.

Sorry to be so negative about it. I used to love Goa, but it has unfortunately been exploited by (people like myself) tourists.
