Can anyone recommend somewhere nice for a business meeting lunch near the Percy Thrower Garden Centre on the Shrewsbury bypass A5??

It's for my dh who is arranging a meeting with a colleague.
Colleague has suggested the Little Chef.
Grim eh?? Told dh that MN could do better than that.
Also,anywhere around/in Shreswbury would do.

We're in Turkey at the moment,hence working in the dark rather.

There must be a Macdonalds somewhere around there .

Dh is thinking swish bar,nice food, you know something enjoyable not simply to be endured.

How about Country Friends, Dorrington - this is actually on the A49, just out of Shrewsbury, but it's easy enough to get to from Percy Thrower's. I haven't been but my mum has and said it was nice - google it and see if you can find any reviews. There's a nice hotel on Wyle Cop in Shrewsbury - Golden Lion? (Been a long time since I lived there, probably isn't nice any more.) Or the Albrighton Hall Hotel is nice, again, I think they have a website - my brother stays there when they go to see my mum and he's very fussy.

I am going to book the Albrighton place for all of us the night before,then dh can have his meeting while the children and I go for a swim.
