Crèche facilities central London

Hi,
Was going to pop into town at the weekend and was wondering if there are any crèches that I could pop my one year old son into for an hour. I've searched but I'm amazed that none of the department stores seem to have one. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I don't think ai ever heard of one and I am regular in London with my DD.

Thanks noramum - I'm just amazed- there is definitely a market for this!

Well that would depend. My DD wouldn't stay in any crèche on a on-off basis when she was small. Now with 5.5 she would but than it would take more to keep her entertained than just pen and paper or books.

And I think the costs of running such a scheme would be high, especially if you had no idea how much you would get per day.

We had such a facility in two of our local shopping mall and they closed because the costs of employing staff and providing the ratios for under 5s is high.
