Club hotel Riu Vistamar, Gran Canaria - anyone stayed there?

Thinking about booking this hotel for a holiday in May with 3yr old dd. Have read some good reviews online about it, but i thought i'd just check with trustworthy mumsnetters first .

Feel free to add any suggestions of good hols you've had because i am sick to death of searching websites about holidays! It was so much easier in the olden days when you just had to trust your travel agent rather than have the luxury of reading 3 billion reviews on a hotel you like the look of!

i booked my bf's mom and dad there 2 weeks ago.

they always stay in excellent standard accom and they loved it.

and a girl from work has just shouted over aswell that she has stayed there, its lovely- fab food.

any particular q's and ill aske her for you.

Are you a travel agent? If so, what do you think the chances of me getting extra leg room on the plane because i'm pregnant? (only 12 weeks so being cheeky really) but my midwife tutted at me going on a flight and said i was at a higher risk of DVT, so to ensure lots of walking around on plane.

The only other thing i couldn't see much about on the website i booked it, is whats in the area for daytrips and things to do. It certainly looks like the hotel entertainment and food has good ratings so looking forward to it!
