We're looking at using this, this summer, taking an overnight trip over and possibly an overnight one return too (or coming back via Dover, undecided yet!). The ferry departs at 23:15 but what time are we able to access the boat and cabin? Does anyone have nay other useful tips?

Usually they start check-in about 8pm ish, we have been on board as early as 8.45 but it is usually around 9 to 9.15. On the way back from Holland if you are taking the overnight ferry check in starts around 7pm (dutch time) and you can be on the ferry by easily by 7.30pm.

Thank you, that is very helpful. Have you ever prebooked meals for the ferry, probably thinking more anout breakfast as it will be too late for evening meal.

Yes we have had pre-booked meals. They have 2 restaurants on board a waiter service restaurant and a self service. Breakfast you can pre-book or I think you might even be able to book once on board, can't remember how much it costs.
