Has anyone been here?

I want to go in June - DH thinks it'll be boring for our 6year old (don't know why) and he wants to stay in huge caravan park place with lots of swimming pools called Bella Italia. Has anyone been there - I'm sure DD would love all swimming pools but is there much to do otherwise?

Have been to Lake Garda but in a Hotel (at Riva) and sans kids Smile - it's wonderful

We stayed near the far end of Lake Garda at Riva. It was beautiful. DD was 16 months at the time. The Italians love children and your 6 year old will be well looked after there, although warn her that the Italian men may well try to many her off to their sons! (They tried with DD LOL)

There is a big water park at the airport end of garda, and more attractions down there, and it is closer for the city day trips if you fancy them. There is the Lake itself too - boat rides, pedlos, other water sports, splashing about in the water. I am sure there is other stuff too - we didn't go that end but remember it being busier and more to do that side.

We stayed in Malcesine on the East coast and there were campsites around the lake , usually just outside the towns with pools, bathing beaches, windsurfing etc. Could take a cablecar up to the summit of the mountain and walk, boat rides to other quaint towns and ruins, visit Verona or the Dolomites and there is \link{http://www.gardaland.it/en/home.php\Gardaland themepark}.
