We'll be staying with family in Toronto and need some ideas for day trips. Then we're making the most of being over the pond and we're going to spend 4/5 days in New York. We need recommendations for accommodation (apartments preferably) in NY as well as some ideas for things to do there. Also, any general tips for traveling there with a small one in tow?

Thanks!

When are you visiting Toronto?. Toronto Islands are supposed to be nice to visit. Eaton center for shopping is also worth visiting as well. Could your relations organise a day trip to Niagara Falls?.

Would consider flying between these two cities; think it takes around an hour or so.

Many apartments in NYC are usually only for sale or rent; you may have a difficult task on your hands if you want an apartment. Tripadvisor.com may well be helpful to you.

Would pay for child to have his/her own seat (as bassinet may be too small now). Do not rely on the airline to fully provide re child meals; take along all their fave foodstuffs.
