Is there a park near to Trafford Centre?

My friend and I ususally meet at TC because it half way between us but our boys won't tolerate it for much longer. So is there a park or something outside for us to go to in the summer?

H'mm there are a few ten minutes away. There is a wacky warehouse type thing on the trafford centre grounds but obviously it is indoors.

I have a friend who lives just down the road in Sale, where there are lots of open spaces (we went walking around near a stables which the girls loved) - but I don't know any specific ones. Sale is the next junction along the m-way from the Traffic Centre (as it's known in my friend's house..)
