OK - head count, how many MN'ers are off to Mousses this year? Am keen to see just how effective the MN bush telegraph is at promoting somewhere!

MissChief · 21/04/2006 10:19

you can go on a boat trip out to a bat cave where you can see them in their 1000s- you'll be advised not to look up/open your mouth to speak when inside in case a bat chooses that very moment to poo on you .. ds loved it Grin

DH - they come out at night and fly around high up in the sky, nowhere near humans. Do not panic.

OP posts:
MissChief · 21/04/2006 11:57

from that boat, they looked much too near!

desperatehousewife · 21/04/2006 13:48

shall be crossing that boat trip off my list.

MissChief · 21/04/2006 13:59

it's fun, honest (and I think you don't have to go). From memory, it's a boatride away from the main boat on the trip so some stayed away

desperatehousewife · 21/04/2006 14:45

ok, i'm officially getting REALLY excited about going now. Got the guide book, printed off some MN tips...wonder if it will be mosquito-y...prob not too bad in early May.
