Would like to go for a long w/e in september when schools have gone back. Does anyone have any suggestions where to stay - needs to be relatively cheap and we'll be taking two children. Thank you

We're going in May. Staying in a beach chalet (very cheap and cheerful) Lots \link{http://www.chycor.co.uk/stives.htm\here}. Just couldn't face camping.

st ives bay holiday park in hayle - went once 10 or so years ago - was reasonably cheap, had a variety of accomodation options - tents; caravans and chalets - access to own beach (all sand), indoor pool and a clubhouse with bar and evening entertainment. Think its been done up since but definately worth a look.

Beware of the seagulls when you go onto the beach/habour area and make sure you aren't eating anything. They are vicious and will snatch your food from your hands. We went last year and had a great time, but DD was attacked by about 20 seagulls, (well 1 snatched her food, then loads more attacked that one). We then watched it happened to everyone newcomer all week...

Great place for a holiday, hope you enjoy.

try Lanhams, St Ives holidays, have loads of cottages and places to rent. Have you used them about 4 times now. Thoroughly recommend.

Hayle is cheaper and is just outside St Ives. St Ives has really bad car parking, not all houses have car parking, so double check and then add cost of car parking into your holiday.

Beaches are great in St Ives, we love it.
