Thinking of having a long weekend in Sherringham this summer and showing the kids where DH spent his youth and where their grandparents lived etc. DH hasn't been there since he was a child so has no idea where to stay. Any reccomendations? It doesn't have to be in Sherringham itself as we'll have the car.

I believe you need PandaG. She might be able to help.

Don't know when she'll be around though

my friend's parents run a b&b called Woodlands at Aylmerton (just next to Sheringham), if you like golf then there's the Links Country Hotel at West Runton (just along the coast from Sheringham) and there's quite a nice hotel at Upper Sheringham that I can't remember the name of - will see if I can dig it out. Hope that helps.

Hi, I originally come from Sheringham - parents are still there. If you let me know what you are looking for - B&B, hotel, self catering, and what kind of price, I'll ask mum for some recommendations - she used to do B&B all the way through my childhood. Also let me know when you might be there if you fancy a meet - I will definately be in Sheringham for a large part of the holidays - beautiful beach on the doorstep, adoring gandparents and aunts, what more do the children need for a holiday?

Hiya, thanks for this. I think we have found somewhere actually, it's in Vista Court of Cliff Rd, 2nd floor flat overlooking beach with balcony, v modern looking, has d.bedroom and a room with bunkbeds and the all important DVD player! They also seem to be available the next coming bank holiday Smile

Sounds great. You will be very close to the beach on Cliff Road, slope and steps to the beach at the top of the road. Is also a 2 min walk to the town centre. Hope you have a lovely time.

Hi Detta - I agree, Sheringham is a lovely place to visit. We live much further away now, moved to S Yorks for uni and never came back!
