Holiday help in April

Ideally I would like a holiday in a sunny part of the world (so sunbathing weather) for 7-10 days in April.

Although I do like sunbathing I also like exploring places and am a big history/art lover so hoping to go somewhere to explore a little bit.

Budget £1000 for everything for two adults....any thoughts?

what about Nice? or Barcelona? Easy jet have a sale

not sure weather would be hot but sure it would be better than here...

How about lanzarote, warm at that time of year. Manrique art everywhere, lava fields for sightseeing. Depending on accommodation could be cheap. Yurts etc available
