Just got back from a great day out. The talks are worth listening to, loved the chimps & orangutangs, & couldn't get the kids off the adventure playground.

£27 for a family ticket is good value IMO.

We went last Saturday, had a great time and a similar problem to you with the adventure playground! Just a warning to anyone who is as disorganised as we are, they don't take cards in the cafes. Don't know if it's the same in all of them. But they do have a cash machine in the gift shop so we eventually got our lunch.

Did you see the baby chimp? So norty (we went a few days ago). He wouldn't leave the adults alone, kept jumping on them/throwing balls when they were trying to have siestas, but they all thought he was totally funny and gorgeous -- you could see how much pleasure they got from him
A great place, and jolly, rather than dispiriting, as these places so often are

Oops - sorry to ignore you there, was online for 5 mins yesterday & got called away!

The babies were all fab, but my fav was the Orangutans - especially the one who had been brought up with Gorillas so was a bit thugish :)

I love watching it on Animal Planet as well.
