Sorrry- not shouting!

Dithering between early May or early Sept for week nr Bamburgh etc.

May fits timewise in some ways, but Sept I feel will def. be warmer given a bit of luck.

No DCs- just us and like walking, pottering etc.

Early September I would say, probably better weather and avoid the Bank Holiday in May, even if it never gets really busy anyway.

I'd second early September too. We often have lovely days at that time of the year after the children have gone back to school. Don't forget to walk to Craster and have crab soup at the Fisherman pub there. (Crab, whisky and cream soup served with a stottie!). Masses of walking to do up here and some lovely cycle rides, too, if you're interested.
