DS will be 8 months when we go on holiday next month. At the mo he can[t sit up or crawl so he spends a lot of time in his inflatable ring type thing at home as he's too big for the bouncer and gets frustrated on the playmat when he rolls onto his front and then cant move anywhere else! Should we take the inflatable ring with us on holiday as we dont' want to be holding him all day.

My tip is when you are on the beach dig a little hole in the sand and sit him in that. Smile We did this with DS in Cornwall at 6 months and it worked a treat. Smile

That's a good idea - didn't your DS try to eat the sand though? Did you have to watch him like a hawk? I REALLY want to be able to read at least one book in the two weeks!

Hmm yes but much less watching than if they can actually move about. Have you got one of those beach tents? Might be worth while, then if you could get him to nap in there you could lay in the sun with your book.

Have bought a beach tent actually! I plan to make DH take care of DS most of the day - about time he knew what hard work it is! {grin]
