gite complex ideas

Driving from scotland so don't want to be more than 5-6 hrs from calais. Any gite complex ideas? As south as possible as would like to see some sun. I know it's probably a contradiction! Any ideas?

We went to www.loiregiteholiday.co.uk last year. a great site ideal for kids, very safe and nice place with lots to do near by. Looking for something similar in a different location.
