just wondering as im going to australia for 4 weeks how much extra fluid my 4 month old breastfed baby would need to prevent her from becoming dehydrated? We are going over christmas and it will be really quite hot!

if you breastfeed on demand then she will get her extra fluids from you.

When my DD was born we had a very hot Summer for a change and she just asked for some more breastmilk.

Just make sure you are drinking a lot and and your supply should be fine.

I was living in Turkey in the summer when my DD was 4 months and she used to BF a lot then as it was so hot. I also used to give her cool boiled water for times when it wasn't convenient to feed her.

Make sure you are drinking lots so you can feed her more.
