I was just wondering on the off chance, if anyone has been to the diggerland in consett, durham..?
If so is it worth the £12.50 entrance each? would you go again?
we were thinking of going on good friday.
thanks in anticipation

Been a few years ago. Is it really £12.50 entrance fee? It works on a entry fee then a token basis where you buy tokens for each digger you want to go on. There is different sizes of diggers that differnt age groups can experience. If you're little ones love diggers then ok but that's all there is. ( and lots of mud!) £12.50 does seem alot but this might be including tokens. I remember buying lots of tokens and rapidly going through them. The dining area isn't very exciting..they have a few bouncy castles and a few diggers to ride on. Let me know if you need any other info..all points seem to be on the down side....we did have a good day but max time there about 2-3 hrs.

I have a friend whose ds loved diggerland, altho she didn't pay an entrance fee but they did buy tokens for the diggers that they wanted to go on. She also said its only a 2/3 hour thing.

Wonder if they have put an entrance fee on coz of the jcb song/boogie beebies?

Anyway, her ds 2.7 ish really liked it and he is quite hard to please!

Don't know about Durham, but we recently went to the one near where we live (Kent), and loved it. The admission was the same and they've abandoned the old token system. I thought it was expensive as we were going in, but we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go again. We took a picnic, so nothing extra spent once we got there. Really good fun and something for everyone.

ps - We got there at noon and didn't leave until they were closing at 5pm!

when I looked on the website - I get the impression they have now introduced a fixed charge of £12.50 and you dont pay anymore when you go on the rides..

That's what they've done in Kent amylou. Hope you have a fun day.
