Romantic hotel in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire?

I'm thinking of booking a night or two in a nice romantic hotel for me and DP as a surprise. Can anyone recommend anywhere lovely? We live near Manchester but will have to drop DDs off st GPs in Doncaster.

Derbyshire hotel near Chatsworth House.

Fab food but expensive in Yorkshire.

Or how about a city hotel? I can recommend the penthouse suite!

We stayed at Losehill hotel and spa near Edale. Very nice food and service, lovely rooms, spa perhaps a grandiose term for the facilities but in had an outdoor hot (well lukewarm) tub. They sometimes do midweek single night deals.
