Menorca sailing is great (thinks I may have told you this before Grin)

Katymac · 03/04/2006 20:57

You probably di Zippi - but I'm not good at memory stuff

I'll find the Menorca one (I might need more info for the france one)

We can really recommend 'Sailing Holidays'. www.sailingholidays.com. We went sailing around the Southern Ionian islands in Greece last May for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time. They are staffed mainly by Aussies and New Zealanders and are therefore very laid back. They are the only (I think) company that don't requuire you to have a Day Skipper qualification.
Their prices are not too bad either.

Katymac · 06/04/2006 13:35

I think DD might get bored on a flotilla sailing holiday - she's 8

I second sailing holidays too and in the summer holidays they do have other kids..you can ask them the composition of various flotillas ...it's not cheap though

Katymac · 07/04/2006 17:21

OK now we have rockley, menorca, concept and crystal as well as sunsail/neilson/MW

Are there any others?

zippitippitoes · 08/04/2006 01:50

I'd be interested to see how you think they might compare Katy

Katymac · 08/04/2006 08:12

Seems very good value

Not sure I could cope with all those activities tho' Grin I'm a bit of a wuss

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 08/04/2006 08:14

If they are all included it sounds reasonable. I think travel is not included, is it?

But all meals seem to be?

It does suggest a bit of time out for R&R..Grin
I wonder if anybody has been?

Katymac · 08/04/2006 08:26

If you read the FAQ - you have to take a lot of stuff (sleeping bag ect) - this might rule it out for us - as I can't carry much & DH is limited with what he can cope with.

The coach can be inluded for some destinations but I don't fancy 12-14 hrs on a coach and the transfers if you fly are really high

zippitippitoes · 23/04/2006 10:55

Katymac · 23/04/2006 11:07
