We'll be in Tuscany for 17 nights next Aug. Elba looks amazing but the accommodation in our price range palme) doesn't get great reviews (camping rossalbe del and a 100 euro plus ferry for a day trip seems a bt OTT. That said it does look absolutely stunning.
Would a day trip be enough? Would we be silly not to go?
