Anyone taken a 1.5 year old to Disney World....

..and is it worth it for them.

I have a 5 year old and a 1.5 year old (well, that's the ages they will be when we intend on going in September/October) and desperately trying to find a holiday. I am considering Florida but only if Disneyworld has any kind of entertainment for the smaller one.

Also, is it still warm in Florida at that time of year? It's not hurricane season, is it?

Thanks

we took ds1 when he was 11months (but only as i have relatives out there), i would not have paid all that money just to take a 11 mth old to disney. We took him back again when he was 2.5 and he had a great time. Lots of things like cup adn saucer rides, merry go rounds, small world, it's just wonderful and we all loved it. Your eldest is perfect age to take. There is also a bit of the park called fantasy land which is aimed at toddlers adn toot town which is full of small rollacoasters, micky's house etc. What time of year are you thinking? it get incrediably humid at cerain times

Yes it is still hurricane season, although towards the end so the later you can go the better. We went in October about 10 years ago and it was still warm. tbh I don't think a 18 month old would get much specifically out of it and may even be fearful of the characters, but there are gentler rides and he/she may enjoy attractions like Seaworld more. Bear in mind that you 'll have to contest with jetlag and the flight, potentially with him/her on your lap.
