Quickest car route to get to Gdansk from UK please

Hi we are travelling to Gdansk in May for a family wedding and I am trying to work out the quickest route with the car. Not worried about long ferry journeys or long car routes - the shortest possible time is most important! tia

Whereabouts in the UK are you starting from?

We're in the Cotswolds so can really get to the East and South cooast reasonably easily.

Have looked at flights and trains but with 4 dc we def need the car! (Also planning on doing a bit of a road trip on the way home so need to have our camping gear too.

Its just getting there - we have 8 days to make our way back

(from the SE) I would take the ferry from harwich to rotterdam (hoek van holland) and then the motorway all the way through the netherlands to northern germany. then the a2 via hanover and berlin.
unfortunately in poland the motoway system is a bit sketchy so it's mainly country roads. better take a good satnav and/or a good up-to-date set of maps.

don't forget to visit the fabulous beaches and definately sample the lovely food of that region.

easiest (and possibly cheaper) would be ryanair from stansted.
