Family Friendly Hotels in Caribbean, Mexico or Maldives

I an trying to compile a list of Family Friendly hotels - (for work - I am a travel agent)

We specialise in the Carribean, Mexico and Maldives - so I am asking if anyone has been to a hotel in these areas that they considered child friendly.

Sometimes hotels like to promote themselves as child friendly but what they mean is they have highchairs!!! - I've experienced this myself and I would prefer to give families much better options.

You help with this one would be most appreciated. Thank you Smile

St James Club, Antigua was pretty good. Has a kids club which feeds your child(ren) dinner so you can have an adult meal anyway :o

Thanks Soup Dragon - that is definately the sort of hotel I'm looking for.
We fancy going to Thailand or Malaysia this year and we have realised when you don't know the area you are going to - how hard it is to find a truely child friendly hotel.

We liked Jalousie in St Lucia - great kids club including trips, child sized snorkels and snorkel boards etc.

Iberostar Cozumel, whilst advertised as child friendly, is not! We tranferred to Iberostar Paraisa del Mar which was my idea of child friendly.

jetsetmum, I have just bumped old Caribbean thread for you. As well as Gala Resort, Playacar, Mexico and Turtle Beach, Barbados I can recommend the kids club at Sunscape, Punta Cana in the DR. Kids Clubs NOT up to much, however, at the Iberostar Bavaro, DR and Jolly Beach Resort, Antigua - if that helps. You might find some useful reviews (mainly for Cuba and the Dominican Republic but also Antigua, Jamaica, Mexico and Costa Rica,) on this site: \link{http://www.debbiescaribbeanresortreviews.com/kids.html\Debbies Caribbean Resort Reviews (travelling with kids)}.

Wanted to add but DD woke up, Iberostar at Cozumels walkways were concrete with tree stumps decorating the ages but as the stumps rotted and the concrete gave way the kids kept getting there feet stuck in little holes and falling over. Beach also had sharp rocks sticking out all over the place so kids could not runn around on the beach without cutting their feet and they could not go in the sea as was full of said rocks and to walk out to sandy section you had to go over sand bags and was too hazardous.

No baths in rooms, only showers, did not know this and had 10 month old who needed a bath rather than a shower.

Iberostar Paraisa del Mar was stunning and a welcome respite from flea pit island.

I was also impressed with St James Club in Antigua - evening meals at the kids club were excellent, and they arranged for us to have a fridge in our room (for milk not booze Wink)with no extra payment required!

The Renaissance Grande in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, is very very child friendly. In every way possible.
Although I heard that they have chnaged their name now.
