Bali with a baby

My DH wants to go to Bali for xmas. Our DD will be around 20 months at the time and I feel very undecided about going.
We have been to Bali around 8 times and lived there for around 6 months but we never paid attention to how people cope with babies. I know Balinese people love children, But bali has been the target of some bombings and I'm not sure its safe. Also the fear of Bali Belly!!!! I have had it many times and would hate DD to suffer with this. But apart from these points, Bali is great and would be a great holiday. Do you think 20months is too small to cope with the flights/heat and possible bali belly? I would appreciate any advice

The flight is the main thing I reckon, once you are there you will be fine.
I would definitely pick your flight carefully-- get a night flight there and back. So much easier with a child as they are likely to sleep and then you gan too!
DOn't go for less than 2 weeks.
And make sure you have a system between you and dh as to how to cope with jetlag, eg taking it in turns to sleep when she is awake.

PS as to the bombings well bombs could happen on the london underground or madrid trains. Bali no more dangerous I reckon. You would have to be bloody unlucky to get caught up in anything
Have fun ( very jealous in fact)
