I found cheapest for me was to book accomodation direct with disney and get flights with Ryanair. Take advantage of the free kids and free extra days offers.

Not sure who has had good package deals but i am sure they exsist.

I used thousands of airmiles, but you can use Tesco vouchers against Leger and Cresta holidays that both go to Disney. £25 of Tesco vouchers = £100 discount off holiday. If you persuade other memebers of family to help collecting £50 - £100 in vouchers can be saved in a year = £200 - £400 off holiday.

I found you can buy really cheap packages for hotels out of disney, BUT when uyou add in £90 each for 4 day adult passes and £60 for kids one, you have to add £300 for passes, suddenly the Disneyland hotals themselves seem better value, and they are all totally walkable from the park

oooh crunchie, is there a minimum amount you can change? we stayed at the santa fe last year, but was me and ds only so nice and cheap.. want to stay at the new york and dh and dd coming so pennies not going as far. i have £7.50 in vouchers at home Grin

With cresta/Leger your holiday must come to a minimum of £500 if you want to use tesco vouchers and must include travel (eg ferry if you're driving or Eurostar/flights). you can't get family and friends to save up cubcard vouchers for you anymore - we used to do that and then they changed the rules - cost us a holiday!!! Bummer!! The clubcard vouchers have the holders anem on and they MUST be on the booking or tesco won't pay up.

We're currently waiting for the stay 2 nights get an extra night free deal with cresta.

I think minimum amount you can change is around £2.50 worth = £10 off

Good luck in tracking down a cheap deal!

Would recommend the Disney hotels - nice to be able to have a short walk to your hotel in the evening!

A friend really liked the New York - we stayed at the newport and it was lovely. Apparently the New York rooms etc are very similar, you just pay a little bit more cos it's closer! fab way to celebrate being 30!

crunchie · 23/03/2006 21:33

We stayed at Sequioa Lodge and thought it was great, I certainly wouldn't bother with any 'better' hotal as from all accounts the actual rooms are v similar in size

alliebaba · 23/03/2006 21:40

ta all. we only fancied the ny as that's where me and dh were supposed to go for 3 nights alone to celebrate my 30th. ds (5) found out and was beside himself, so it's euro for us! i like the look of the sequoia.. is the pool nice?

The rooms are OK, 2 large beds, a table and 2 chairs, a bathroom and a TV. Not sure what else you need. The pool is really quite nice, not huge, but with a small slide, a jacuzzi (not for kids) and various baubbly/fountainy bits. My kids thought it was great. Take your room towles or be charged 2E for towel hire. It is 2E returnable deposit for the lockers.
