Well I live in Budapest. What age toddler? What kind of things do you wnat to do?

Weather is getting better - lovely and sunny today.

City itself is lovely - especially walking along the Danube. There are lots of parks. You can do a river trip (the Legenda) wich lets you off for an hour on an island (Margit Island) which my DS loves to do. The island is right in the middle of the Danube and is a huge park - lots of playgrounds, you can hire bikes/motorised cars etc.

Hi BudaBabe! Would love some advice. The River Trip sounds great, where does it go from and do we just turn up? We are going to spend the day in Budapest with our 4 year old at the end of a holiday before flying back to the UK in the evening. We'll be there next week!

Hi
For the river trip - head to the Marriott hotel or Intercontinental Hotel whci are both on the river but you need to get down under the tram tracks and across the road. From memory a boat leaves at 11 am with others leaving all afternoon.

Where are you staying? The hotel should be able to book the trip for you or at least point you in the right direction.

The boat is called The Legenda.

Also the open top bus trip is ver good if your time is limited. On goes from the Basilica at around 2pm.
