Never one to go somewhere new without a Rough Guide, was wondering if it's worth while or no necessary?

I have one you can borrow

ah bless...but might be a bit of a hassle for you to post it...? if you think it's worth it, am happy to buy a copy

No hassle - up to you!

It is the Rough guide to the ionian islands - they didn't do one just for Lefkas last year

We found it very useful

Lucycat · 21/03/2006 14:01

don't you find they are a bit sniffy about anywhere that has more than one taverna and a donkey?

We went to Parga (not far from Lefkas) and loved it - the Rough guide gave it, well a rough ride!

CountessDracula · 21/03/2006 14:02

No I find they are generally fairly accurate

maybe I am just a one taverna and a donkey kinda gal Grin

Lucycat · 21/03/2006 14:05

Grin you can't beat being woken up by the braying of a donkey on holiday can you? unless it's a cockerel - or lambs being loaded on the back of a lorry on their way to ahem dinner, as we heard one Easter in Greece!

CountessDracula · 29/03/2006 13:42

when are you going desperatehousewife?

willow2 · 05/07/2006 22:03

CD - are you sure that's not my guide? Think I might have lent it to you?
