Weekend away for hubbies 40th

Hi all, I want to take my husband away in May for his 40th. Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe Krakow (as he loves history) or maybe Amsterdam but any ideas/suggestions would be very welcome!

Reykjavik is a great place for a weekend.

My husband will be 40 in June, and I'm thinking of booking 3 nights away in Barcelona. Just debating on whether to book early or try and get something last minute and hope to get a good deal.

A great place for a long weekend is Marrakech we stayed in a great villa with the kids but it was staffed with a cook and house keeper who did everything including bbabysitting etc. I wrote a review on Mumsnet - it should still be around if you search for Marrakech villa. It was called Dar tamarzerte and had its own website. Hope this helps!
