Anyone recommend a nice place for a birthday lunch in Canterbury this week?

Decided to spend the day shopping there. Just need somewhere bistro-ey/ nice pub not tooooo £££££ to enjoy lunch with DH and poss some friends.... anyone?

Try The Dolphin. DS is a student in Canterbury and we go there every time we visit him. It has its own website, sorry, can't link. Recommend booking in advance. It's walking distance from the Westgate. Nice food, beer and friendly staff.
