Considering this for next year.
Looking at Eurocamp/Keycamp etc but would appreciate some insider knowledge if poss.

We are family of 5. 3 girls, 8 yrs and 4 yrs twins. Love water, need entertainment, and somewhere for me and dh to sit and ahem relax whilst they run round in the evenings.

Will be driving.
Thank you.

Ive stayed at camping eden near salo about 6 yrs ago

it was beautiful.. went to garda land for a day out. went on the fast ferry from salo to malacine to go up in the cable car to the top of the mountain.

i think there are lots of sites around the lake, ours was quite small but amazing views from the top swimming pool.

Lake Garda is absolutely beautiful. We didn't camp so I can't advise on sites, but a lovely way of seeing the lake is to take the ferry.

Malcesine is worth visiting but it can take quite a long time on the ferry if you are staying at the bottom end, unless you take the fast boat.

Watch out for the mosquitoes.

I have also stayed at Eden. It is near Salo, which is utterly gorgeous and in no way as overrun with tourists as some of the other Garda towns. There is a little port within an easy stroll of Eden with some restaurants and bars, and you can take the ferry from there. If you book with Canvas I know there is a great kids club which our (just) 5 year old daughter enjoyed.

The site is very steep, but that makes the views amazing!

Thank you. I slightly worried about booking a massive site because dd1 likes her freedom and at 8, a smaller site means boundaries are very defined and unlikely to be compromised!
But, we obv need some aspects of bigger sites too!!
Booking hols is very hard work. Wink
