Hi anyone had any good experiences with this airline? All I keep reading is very bad reviews re delays/customer care (or lack of). I know it's a cheap airline but is it really that bad? Ta.

Not when I worked at the airport.

Worth looking into some people's experience as the airline really only have control when you're in the air. The ground operations are by handlers ie check in issues, baggage probs etc. delays due to a tech problem are obviously the airline as they have their own engineers.
I think sometimes airlines are blamed for a lot of problems out of their own control

I've used them a few times. Never any problems. Always friendly, helpful and on time.

Good food last time we flew, too.

I flew one way with easy jet and the other way with Monarch as it was the best way to get timings that coincided with our cruise. I was really impressed with Monarch. I didn't pay to choose seats but at check in my family of 4 were all seated together so there was no mad run on the plane.

We have just returned from Mallorca, having flown with Monarch. It was better than some airlines in lots of ways. Check-in was way better at Luton and Palma airports, the planes more comfortable, even the cabin crews were better groomed. We didn't reserve seats either, but were seated together.

Thanks Guys, I guess it's the same as with any airline. Sometimes you get delays, sometimes not!
