Hi there, I posted this in the Geeky section but am posting here too.

I am traveling on my own with 2 dds (7 & 5) from Oz to UK and wanted to know if I can either buy a charger that plugs into the airplane seat (economy class) or if - as the Apple shop lady says - that planes have usb plugs in their seats these days.

Is this true? We will be flying with Malaysian Air and it wasn't the case 2 years ago but praps they've changed?

I've tried to google chargers and looked at the Malaysian Airways site but no joy as yet. Hoping wise mners can help?

Would check out the website www.seatguru.com as this gives information about airlines and the types of facilities that are available on their aircraft. Malaysian airlines is mentioned.

From what I can see Malaysian Airlines do not have any power adapters in their economy seats (these are only in first and business class). Would ensure that then gadgets used are fully charged before travel and if anything like a portable DVD player is used, then have a charged battery or two for it

I tried to use a USB connection with my English iPad on an Air Canada flight and it wouldn't work. Had to use the charger and an adaptor socket.
