What to wear jacket wise to Mallorca for wkd trip with the ladies...

Am off to Palma in 4 weeks time for a girly wkd of lazing by the pool (hopefully!) and chilling out without the kids - ahh bliss - as a treat for my 40th. We will only be taking hand luggage and so i've got a question about what kind of jacket to wear.
1- will it be warm in Palma in end of September?
2- Should I just wear my comfy navy hoodie as my 'jacket' and hope it will be warm enough to keep me cosy on the flight and the 'getting to gatwick at 6.30am and getting back home at 3.30pm) I could throw on an oversize scarf too?
3- Will my hoodie be ok to have as my only jacket in Palma for three days?
4- Should I go and try and find a decent fairisle cardi type thing as my jacket?
5- SHould I actually take a proper jacket? I could prob just about squeeze in a kagoul type thing in my luggage?
Argh the perils of only having hand luggage!
Any advice would be most gratefully received!

we have just come back from majorca and regularly go at the end of October when it is a little cooler. in October i always where a hoodie top to travel in and its more than enough (a little chilly at this end but bearable). i take a couple of lightweight cardigans for an evening and they are more than enough. You definitely dont need a proper jacket! it will still be warm enough for bikinis and sarong on a day time and a dress in the evening.

also if you can, work it out so you and your friends share things like shampoo, deoderant, toothpaste, hair products and suncream. that way you are not doubling up and have more space between you to pack extra.

good tip! Thanks county. Think I will just go with the hoody - don't really want to buy anything just for the trip. I will try and pack a 'nice' cardi too for the eves. Am getting very excited!! Thing is I'm travelling down to London the night before to stay with one of the girls (I live in midlands) and dont want to be cold for that journey if the weather is not so good (but hey, I will just have to grin and bear it. I spose I could always just buy a cheapo long sleeve top to wear under my clothes for the journey to london on the Thursday night and leave it in london when we leave for the airport on Friday am!
