Letter of consent to travel with grandparents

DS aged 5 is being taken to the US at Easter by Grandparents. I know I have to write a letter of consent re parental repsonsibility and him being taken out of the country etc but does it have to be witnessed/signed by solicitor etc.

Who should I contact for clarification US or British agencies ?

Many thanks

Talk to the US Embassy.

When my sister took my boys to Eurodisney we got a special form from the French Embassy for me to fill in and her to carry. I don't recall having to get anyone else to sign it apart from me and DH, but different countries might have different requirements.
