We stayed in marrakech, got the train to Fez for a weekend. Back to Marrakech and off to the desert - 4x4 and camel trek and a night under the stars. Was fab. We didn't go to the coast - apparently it's v windy so great for water sports rather than relaxing.

We went pre-kids, but no reason why they couldn't do this. We stayed in riads/b&bs with tranquil gardens for breakfast and to escape the hustle and bustle.

Ooh sounds fab, thanks Silk. Can you remember any of the B&Bs or raids yu stayed in - all the Tripadvisor best ones seem booked up for the rest of the millennium.

Dar Limoun in Marrakech - lovely, simple, great old town location. Not sure if it counts as luxury though... Will dig out names of others and report back Grin.

I'm looking at booking Morocco for next Easter with my DC 10 and 12. After the success of last holiday will probably go with the Exodus travel as they do all the leg work and they have good family itineries. Not sure how luxurious it will be but very impressed with the Thai hotels we stayed at.
