Where is too hot in July?

Hi

Looking to take dc abroad next year for first time - first week in July.

We are all very fair and not used to the heat - where would be too hot? There are some really nice resorts in turkey and cyprus which are reasonably priced but I'm worried it won't be enjoyable if it's too hot.

Thank you!

You would roast in Turkey or Cyprus in July. Does the holiday have to be then? End of May and early June, or September/October are nicest in Cyprus, and in most of the Med. Also July is peak season price wise. If you are tied to the school hols May and Oct half-terms are nice.

Depends what you mean by too hot. TBH you need to stay north France or northern Europe to really be sure. What about Germany? or Scandanavia?

We have been to both Portugal and Tuscany first week of July both too hot for us.
Dordogne was ok at that time of year. Think we may have to stick to there for future holidays in the summer

Avoid Madrid.

In fact avoid Spain.

til September AT LEAST

I would avoid turkey like the plague in July if you don't like the heat. 40 degrees C can be quite typical at that time of year.

Cyprus in June is hellishly hot, so imagine July and August would be unbearable. I would go for west coast of France.

Anywhere around the Med would be too hot. What about Madeira or the Azores? Northern coast of Spain? Atlantic coast of France?
