Any magical products to block out light for toddler to sleep on long haul flights?

I think I'm going to have to go to Australia in 2-3 weeks with my toddler on my lap. Last time we flew with her we tried to tie blankets up from the overhead lOckers to try block out the light as she won't sleep in glaring light, but kept being asked by hostesses to take down the blankets.

Are there any miracle products out there that I've failed to spot which somehow block the light for a toddler in a way that won't elicit complains from the airline staff?

Eyemask?

I'd tried that but she's 17 months old & rips it off immediately!

Piriton syrup.

No, don't think there are really. Thats why so many give piriton I think.

We've done longhaul to Dubai, USA and Oz and its never been as bad as I expected, they have slept eventually.
