Hi I'm a mature student with the open university studying design and technology.

I am researching the products that are available that are designed for making travelling a better experience for both parents and children, so that they arrive at their destination feeling relaxed and not with fraying tempers.

Can anyone let me know some of their experiences of products they have used, and opinions of what was good about them and what could be improved. From car seats to travel bags, in car games or general travel tips.

Thanks in advance for your help.

well, we use a rear facing car seat. But because that means we can't see our baby's face, we have a special mirror attached to the headrest. This really keeps him amused - added bonus. Also toys that hook onto the straps or rollbar of the car seat are good.

Not sure if it is what you are looking at, but I have often thought that a tray that clipped to the front of a pushchair so that it could be used instead of a highchair would be very useful. It would be usefull for picnics, cafes without highchairs and camping. All the travel highchairs I have seen still need a stable chair to fix then too.
