Hi

Am off to the Dordogne on Saturday with DH and DS (9 months)

We are staying in Les Eyzies.....what are the don't miss things?

My list so far is

Founte De Gaume caves
Castlenaud
Rocamadour
Beynac Castle
Sarlat
Canoe down river

Any other tips would be great, including if any of the above are going to be tricky with a 9 month old and top places ot eat

Thanks! :)

We did all those, and also the Josephine Baker castle - Milandes, and Castelnaud castle... that was good too. We also went to Gouffre de Padirac and cycled all around the valley near Beynac, and also visited gardens of Chateau de Marqueyssac and Erignac (?). If you like art and happy to visit somewhere really whacky then there's a place outside Sarlat, in La Caneda, again I'll have to look up the name. Massive butterfly made out of a helicopter, that sort of thing. Was a bit of an arty commune at one time, maybe two working artists there now. Not sure about the 9 month old and canoeing, our kids are older. Great place to eat in village near to Castelnaud where there's a campsite and organic supermarket. Not the pizza place, the village brasserie - great food.
