Dominican Republic

Just wondered if anyone had been to the Dominican Republic and had any hotel recommendations or any places to definitely not stay.

All advice appreciated.

we went last year, stayed at secrets royal beach, punta cana. Was really lovely, room was very clean and nice. balcony (sp?) has a jaccuzzi on it!

Now Larimar was great.

Depends on your budget but we got to stay for free at the Bahia Principe courtesy of Thomsons and the volcanic ash cloud and it was the most luxurious place we have ever been to!

I stayed at the Cayo levantado ( where the Bicardo advert was filmed many years ago ) and it was stunning. The sand was so white.
