Last minute AI with toddler and baby

Hi all,

We want to go on holiday for a week, leaving on the first weekend in September with our 3 and almost 1 yo. I don't want a flight of more than 3 hours, and would prefer a short transfer the other end. We've been looking at Menorca but struggling to find flights for our dates - any other suggestions for resorts in Majorca, Spain, Portugal, anywhere within 3 hour flight really. I only chose Menorca because I've been there before and know it's not party-central!

I think you'll really struggle with flights- we've been looking, and evrything is sold (I'm guessingthe weather in UK has meant more going abroad) and beginning of sept is when eveyone needs to be back for school.
We actually booked menorca, thenthe travel company called and said flight was overbooked
Now we have nothing...

We're in Scotland so schools are already back - hoping that will mean flights are not at such a preimium...

We're not long back from Vista Badia resort in Sa Coma, but usually go to Bonaire in Cala Bona. Both Protur Group with Thompsons, and in Majorca...would recommend both.

A friend has just booked a week in early Sept in menorca with Thomson holidays. Self catering flat. 1200 for husband, wife and 4 year old. She tried to do it separately and flights alone were 1000!!

Venetian coast is pretty, and nice weather at that time of year. What about Croatia, Italian lakes, Malta, ??Scilly Isles which are beautiful, and far better weather than the mainland

Have you looked on First Choice website, they are the branch of Thomsons who specialise in AI holidays. They might have something last minute.

Well, would you believe it, we're off to centre parcs in the lake district! Flights were all at dreadful times, couldn't get the resorts we wanted and there was nothing particularly cheap. Thanks for your suggestions though!
