Hi,

My DS needs to sleep in our graco travel cot for two weeks and so I need to find a comfy mattress BUT it needs to fit into a suitcase as we are flying long haul. We have a lovely 7 cm thick mattress for it but unless we buy about 3 extra seats I can't see us being able to take it!

Thanks for your help :)

I fold up a childrens duvet and put a sheet over it then tuck that around the mattress/base of the travel cot. DS sleeps really well on it and is a lot lighter and easier to transport. Also easy to wash compared to matress.

Thanks. That makes sense but I thought they had to sleep on a firm mattress for SIDS reasons?

Have you looked at LittleLife cots? They rest on the floor so the matresses are firm, plus they only weigh 3kg. They also double as beach cots. Alternatively rent at your destination?

I got a mothercare one which folds up small and is only 1-2 cm thick. My DTs used the travel cot for 6 months for daytime napping so must be pretty comfortable!
