Thomson flight with 3 kids. Do I need to prebook seats?

Sorry very dull question but I am starting to panic that we will only get single seats and the kids will have to sit on their own. All 3 are under 6. Do I pay the extra £80 to book or do you think we will be OK?

Muchos gracias!

They aren't allowed to seat the children on their own so I would save your money Smile

Thank you, thank you. I didn't know that. I will save the money for better things and stop panicking. (part of me would have quite liked to sit on my own and pretend I was going on a relaxing holiday to read and rest and tut at the noisy children sat on their own!)

If you haven't pre-booked seats, get to the airport as early as you can to get at the head of the check-in queue so that there are plenty of seating options. If the youngest is under 2, you can all sit together in a row of 3 seats with toddler on your lap; and if all the DC are over two the best thing would be for the eldest to sit across the aisle from you. They cannot seat single persons in window seats, so you couldn't sit 2 either side of the aisle.

They were offering free drinks to anyone happy to move and let mum and small child sit together on our flight. A couple of girls happily took up the offer. I think charging is a bit of a scam to be honest.

In may on a Thomson holiday when me, dh and 2dds tried to check in they said "oh, you didn't pre book so we've no seats together, but don't worry we can't split families " She then got on the phone, spoke to someone and said it was sorted and sat us altogether! I'll never pre book again! Total con as all thy I'd was rearrange others!

I work for a holiday company and we book thomson flights all the time. We advise people not to bother paying to sit together as long as you get to the airport 2 hours before your flight you will be fine, we never had a problem.

Yes we just came back with a Thomson flight. We paid the £50 to prebook.... Firstly because I have two children under 5 and I'm a nervous flyer. When we got to the check in, the woman whispered we could have saved our money as they don't split families..... However I think I would still pay because I just want to know I've got my family sitting together ( part of controlling my nerves on the day )
