Escort for elderly traveller

Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I'm looking to see if there is a company out there who provide an in-flight escort service for my elderly Mum.
Just looking for someone to accompany her on the trip there and back. She's with me in between.
Anyone heard of such a thing?

The airlines provide this for children. Have you tried asking them if they provide this service for the elderly as well?

Also worth booking her as needing a wheelchair . Even if she is normally ok . My MIL's elderly friend had one recently as she found the distances too far in the airport . It means a much easier journey as she won't need to work out which gate etc . Have a wheelchair to the plane but explain that she can manage the steps .

Thank you for the replies.
Solde - the airlines don't provide a 1:1 service on flights. The airports do provide an assistance service up to the point of boarding.
trumpton - she does travel with her own wheelchair and is now in need of assistance to board the plane so they usually lift her up the steps.
The main problem is that she is very deaf and so doesn't hear what is being said to her.
We worry in that when things go to plan she is fine but if there are any deviations from the plan, she is concerned as she doesn't know whats going on.
At the moment, a family member travels with her then returns home on the same day and we do the same on the return journey.
It makes it fairly exhausting and eats into the holiday time we can provide for her so we were wondering if we could just pay someone to travel with her.

Something like this? www.flightcompanion.co.uk/

Not used it but googled 'travelling companion service uk'

Many thanks doradoo.
You won't believe how many variations of travelling companion I've put into google and I never spotted that link so many thanks.
I think my mistake was using the word "escort". It opened up a whole new world!!!
